For Immediate Release
EFISCharts.com Launches Lower-Cost FAA Chart Service for Dynon and Advanced Flight Systems Avionics, with Satellite Airport Diagrams
Sacramento company's free EFISChartSync app, for Mac, Windows, iPad and iPhone, downloads each new chart cycle automatically, loads several USB sticks at the same time, and emails the pilot when every stick is done. Satellite-view airport diagrams cover more than 3,300 public airports that have no FAA diagram. Subscriptions start at $39 a year with a three-month free trial.
SACRAMENTO, Calif., October 22, 2026. EFISCharts.com today introduced the lowest-priced FAA chart service for Dynon SkyView and Advanced Flight Systems (AFS) avionics, starting at $39 a year, with fast, automatic and free EFISChartSync apps for Windows, Mac, iPad and iPhone. In addition to the standard FAA chart set, EFISCharts.com brings satellite-view charts and satellite-view-integrated airport diagrams to Dynon and AFS EFIS displays. Every new subscriber receives a three-month free trial, so there is no reason not to try it.
Everything pilots want in a chart service
EFISCharts.com was designed from the ground up to fix the pain points pilots experience with chart services today:
- Lowest price. EFISCharts.com is the lowest-priced chart service for Dynon and AFS panels, from $39 a year.
- Full Mac support. EFISChartSync runs natively on Mac as well as Windows, with identical features on both, and both are free.
- Full iPad and iPhone support. Free native iPad and iPhone apps are available today and load a USB stick with no laptop present.
- Hands-off syncing. EFISChartSync downloads each cycle on its own, loads several sticks at once, verifies every one, and emails the pilot once every stick is loaded.
- Satellite views. EFISCharts.com brings satellite-view airport diagrams to Dynon and AFS panels.
- Current, accurate diagrams. Every FAA airport diagram is current to the cycle, and more than 3,300 public airports without an FAA diagram get a satellite-view diagram showing the field as it actually is.
- Charts ready early. New charts are downloaded and written to the stick before the cycle takes effect.
- Fast regional loading. EFISCharts.com loads by region, so pilots get just the area they fly, fast.
Charts that update themselves, and tell you when they're done
The FAA publishes new charts on a 28-day AIRAC cycle. EFISChartSync tracks that calendar and downloads each new cycle automatically, then (the step that normally still falls to the pilot) writes it onto the USB stick before the cycle takes effect. When every inserted stick has been loaded and verified, the pilot receives an email, so the answer to "are my charts up to date?" arrives before the question does.
Loads faster, and every aircraft at once
EFISChartSync downloads chart data and writes it to several USB sticks at the same time, in a single pass, with no folders for the pilot to copy by hand. Where other chart software loads one stick after another, EFISChartSync loads them in parallel, so updates finish far sooner. Each USB stick is loaded and then read back to ensure 100% accuracy, so there is no more second-guessing whether the right files made it onto the stick.
Fleet Mode lets owners and operators load USB sticks for several aircraft at once, each with its own charts.
Far less disk space
EFISChartSync does not demand room for a complete chart archive before it will start. It manages space in stages: it clears superseded cycle caches on its own, then streams chart data through a small bounded buffer, and if space is still tight it writes directly onto the USB stick and needs almost no free disk at all. Pilots flying older or storage-constrained laptops can run the service without clearing off their machine first.
Satellite views for Dynon and AFS panels
EFISCharts.com brings satellite imagery to Dynon and AFS airport diagrams. Every subscription includes every FAA airport diagram, and for the public airports the FAA has never drawn a diagram for (more than 3,300 of them) EFISCharts.com supplies a satellite-view airport diagram. Pilots arriving at a small field see the actual runways, taxiways and ramps on the panel instead of a blank screen.
Free apps for Mac, Windows, iPad and iPhone
EFISChartSync is free with every subscription, on every platform: Mac, Windows, iPad and iPhone. The Mac and Windows versions have identical features. That matters more than it sounds: the chart software pilots use for these panels today is Windows-only, which leaves Mac owners running a Windows virtual machine, or borrowing a PC every 28 days, purely to update their charts. EFISCharts.com removes that step.
The iPad and iPhone apps, available today, let a pilot load a USB stick directly from a tablet or phone in the hangar, with no laptop present.
Choose regions, not states
EFISCharts.com loads by region. No more waiting for the entire country to download and copy, and no more clicking through dozens of individual states. Pilots pick the regions they actually fly and the load is done quickly: smaller transfers, shorter waits, and no clutter on the stick. A subscription still covers the entire United States; there is no separate purchase for one part of the country.
Chart data is served from redundant servers in two geographic regions, so downloads stay fast and available even if one region has a problem.
Switching offer: through December 31
To remove the cost of changing services, EFISCharts.com is making a limited-time offer. From today through December 31, 2026, new customers who subscribe and email a receipt for a competing chart subscription will have their EFISCharts.com renewal date extended by the unused remainder of that subscription.
Pilots switching mid-term therefore pay nothing twice for overlapping coverage and lose none of the time they have already bought.
